5W(what,who,when,where,why)要素。
(2023·河北唐山·统考一模)Teachersoftencanfallintothetrapofteachingcontent,payingnoattentiontochildren.Manyofushavetheattitudethat“wewillputtheinformationoutthere,andiftheydon’tgetit,theyaretoblame.”Severalyearsago,IhadastudentnamedJeremyin12th-gradeEnglish,inwhichBritishliteraturewastaught.Istruggledtofindwaystomakethecontentinteresting.Jeremydidn’tcare.ThoughJeremywasclassifiedas.gifted,hesleptinclasseveryday.Ibegantogetreallyfrustrated.Ievenbegantodislikehim.Highschoolteacherssometimesdevelopahands-offattitude.Ithought,“OK,Jeremy,ifyouwanttofailmyclass,fine.I’vetriedeverything.”Astimewenton,IignoredJeremy.Ididn’taskhimquestions,orevenmakeeyecontactwithhim.Byaccident,IfoundthatJeremywascapableofmuchmore.Oneday,Iwenttothebroadcastingclassroomtoeditavideo.Onthisday,severalstudentswereworkingonanassignment.ThenIheardavoiceIrecognized.IlookedupandsawJeremywasteachinghisclassmatesenergeticallyhowtofilm.MyfirstthoughtwasthatJeremymusthaveatwin!SuddenlyherealizedIwassittinginthecorner.Oureyesmet.“Mrs.Duff?”heaskedwithsurprise.“Youknowhowtoeditvideo?”“Yes.Ihadnoideayouwereavideographer!”Atthis,hesmiledwithprideandexplainedtheprojecthisgroupwasworkingon.Itwasclearhehadearnedhisclassmates’respect.AnditwassuddenlycleartomethatIhadnotreallymadeanefforttoknowJeremyatall.Whathappenednextwasamazing.Inclass,Jeremystayedawakeandcompletedhiswork.HepassedmyclasswithaB.Whathappened?WhenJeremyencounteredmeoutsideEnglishclass,itchangedhisperspectiveofme.HerealizedIwasn’tjustsomeoddladytryingtoforcehimtolearnBritishpoetry.Equallyimportant,myperspectiveabouthimchanged.Hewasn’tjustthekidwhosleptinmyclass.I’mnotproudthatIdidn’tmakeabetterefforttoknowJeremybeforetheencounterinthebroadcastroom.ItoldmyselfIhadtriedeverything,butIhadnotsteppedoutsideofmylittleEnglishworldatall.1.What’sthepurposeofparagraph1?A.Todrawreaders’interest.B.Tointroducetheauthor’sidea.C.Toremindteachersofteachingtraps.D.Toaskstudentstoshiftlearningfocus.2.WhatdidtheauthordowhenJeremyshowedlastingboredominherclass?A.Sheblamedherself.B.Shegaveuponhim.
